Establish Service

To establish service, all customers must apply for service either in person or via telephone and pay a $25 account establishment fee and a refundable $5 membership fee. Current members are not required to pay an additional membership fee, as multiple accounts can be held under one membership. To establish an account for a new home, construction fees may apply. Residential Deposit Schedule
Before establishing a new residential account, a security deposit may also be required based on a credit rating system and the following schedule:

Green	$0.00	$75.00
Yellow	$100.00	$100.00
Red	2x average bill	2x average bill

Existing Location
After applying for service, paying all applicable fees and deposits, and returning completed easements and any other paperwork necessary, service will be connected within three working days.

New Location
After applying for service and paying all applicable fees and deposits, your new service should be completed within 14 days of the county planning and zoning inspection. Tri-County EMC personnel will determine additional charges for overhead or underground service.
