Outage Texting

You can now report your outages via text message. Sign up for Tri-County EMC’s TextTCEMC service, and enjoy the convenience of texting outages, receiving important updates and more. This free service allows members to report outages via text, and that information goes directly into our outage management system so that crews can quickly be dispatched to restore power.

Once your cell phone number is up to date on your Tri-County EMC account, simply text OUT to 85700 to report an outage. Please allow 24 hours from the time you update your phone number to the time you report an outage via text to ensure the textTCEMC system is up to date.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR PHONE NUMBER:
If you plan to report your outage via text message, your cell phone number needs to be up-to-date in our system 24-hours in advance. This can be done by calling 1.866.254.8100, select 4 for Customer Service, then select 3 to update your phone number. You will need to have your account number available.

You can also update your phone number using the online customer portal or myTCEMC mobile app. 

If your cell phone number is up-to-date in our system, you will be able to text "OUT" to 85700 to report your outage.

TIP: Save 85700 in your phone as Tri-County EMC Outage.
