Tri-CoGo is Celebrating Five Years of Connecting the Community

Five years ago this September, Tri-CoGo reached a milestone that marked the beginning of something new for Tri-County EMC and the communities we serve: our first fiber internet customer was connected.

Since that first connection in September 2021, Tri-CoGo has grown to serve nearly 11,000 subscribers. What began as an effort to bring reliable high-speed internet to areas that had long been underserved has become an essential connection for thousands of local homes and businesses.

Along the way, there have been many milestones worth celebrating. Tri-CoGo’s 100% fiber network has expanded throughout Tri-County EMC’s service territory and beyond, creating new opportunities for people to work, learn, operate businesses and stay connected from the places they call home.

Our team has worked diligently to build, maintain, and support a network our communities can depend on. From construction and installation to technical support and customer service, their commitment has helped Tri-CoGo earn a reputation for reliability, responsiveness and local service.

Our reputation is one of our proudest accomplishments. As Tri-CoGo has grown, the goal has never been simply to connect more customers. It has been to provide the level of service our neighbors expect from a local company backed by their electric cooperative.

The Next Five Years
Reaching five years gives us an opportunity to celebrate how far Tri-CoGo has come, but we're just as excited about what's ahead.

Tri-CoGo recently introduced new tiered residential plans, giving customers more choices to match their internet service to the way they live, work, and connect. Current options range from 300 Mbps to 4 Gig symmetrical service, with features available for enhanced Wi-Fi coverage, cybersecurity, device management, and parental controls.

Businesses will also continue to be an important part of Tri-CoGo's future. As technology becomes increasingly central to day-to-day operations, dependable fiber internet can help local companies grow and serve customers more  efficiently.  From small businesses to larger operations, Tri-CoGo aims to be a local partner that can grow alongside them.

Our work to expand 100% fiber internet access isn't finished. Tri-CoGo will continue looking for opportunities to extend its network to underserved areas, bringing reliable service to more homes, neighborhoods, and business corridors that need it.
