Electric vehicles are a fast growing sector of the automotive market. And for good reason. Manufacturers have worked to extend the miles-per-charge range through battery technology improvements. Public charging stations are becoming more available at businesses and other public locations. And some manufacturers have developed rapid-charging stations that can supply a full charge in the time it would take to fill a tank with unleaded gasoline.
Prices for total electric vehicles have dropped considerably over the past few years, with many models available in the $25,000 - $35,000 range. In addition, the cost to power the vehicles can be considerably less than your usual gasoline purchase.
And for those with a need for speed, you can have it immediately with an electric vehicle. While an internal combustion engine must rev up to speed, the electric vehicle has full power at its disposal almost instantly.
