Peyton Walker was named Tri-County EMC's finalist for the Walter Harrison Scholarship. She will go on to compete in the statewide scholarship competition for one of eleven $1,000 scholarships. Statewide scholarship winners will be announced in April.
Peyton is a senior at Jones County High School. She plans to attend Valdosta State University in the fall and major in education and sign language. Upon graduation, she plans to be a deaf education teacher.
