In September 2014, the Tri-County EMC Foundation Board approved 7 grant projects, totaling $6,825 in Operation Roundup funds, to benefit organizations or individuals in local communities. The organizations that received funds this quarter are:

American Legion VFW - $1,000 to be used for the Veterans Wall of Honor in Putnam County.
Briar Patch Arts Council - $1,500 to be used for the Georgia Writers’ Museum.
Crossroads Pregnancy Center - $1,000 to purchase baby care stations to be used at outdoor community events.
Eatonton Police Department - $1,000 for the family of a fallen solider in Putnam County through the Care for Cops program.
Jasper County Mentor Program - $1,000 to send students on a field trip to the Georgia Aquarium, Georgia Tech and the DeKalb Maker’s Faire this fall.
Jones County Veterans - $700 to purchase service hats for Veterans to be worn at the Veteran’s celebration this fall.
Northridge Christian Church/Mustard Seed Ministry - $625 to purchase materials to construct a wheelchair ramp for an elderly individual in Baldwin County.

Operation Roundup is funded by the voluntary contributions of Tri-County EMC Members to the Tri-County EMC Foundation. Participants in the program have their monthly bill rounded up to the next dollar and the difference is donated to Operation Roundup. Any non-profit, civic, religious or government organization located within Tri-County’s eight-county service area is eligible to receive funding. Applications must be for special needs or projects. No applications for contributions to an organization’s general funds will be accepted. Applications may be downloaded here or mailed upon request by calling 1.866.254.8100 ext. 8126.
