On August 1, Tri-County EMC welcomes Keith Brooks to the staff as the Manager of Safety & Training. Keith comes to the Tri-County team with a 22 year history of work in electric cooperatives. Most recently, Keith was employed as a safety instructor at Georgia EMC before taking the position at Tri-County EMC. Prior to that, Keith was a lineman and supervisor of Safety and Training at Snapping Shoals EMC in Covington, GA.
During his 22 years of working in cooperatives, he spent 12 of those years employed in the cooperative’s Safety and Training fields. In addition to his cooperative experience, Keith is also a NPQ certified firefighter, a state certified first responder and a CPR, First-Aid, AED trainer.
The Manager of Safety & Training is charged with developing a comprehensive job training program and to advise, assist and offer training in safety and health related issues and job related tasks. The position will assist all departments of the cooperative in risk management and loss control as well as safety.
