Gray, GA – Members of Tri-County EMC will have the chance to participate in the cooperative’s first hybrid election this fall. For the first time, the cooperative will be offering online voting for the annual meeting election. Paper ballots will still be available and mailed to members that prefer the traditional voting method.

“The cooperative chose to move to the hybrid election format in an effort to make voting easier and more accessible for members who prefer doing business with the cooperative online,” said Greg Mullis, VP of Energy Services. “Online voting will also help us to reduce costs in the form of paper, printing and postage during the annual election process.”

To opt out of paper ballots and vote online only, members are encouraged to visit www.tri-countyemc.com/voting.da and complete the form or to give them a call at 1.866.254.8100. By opting out of paper balloting and choosing to vote online, members will be sent their logon information for the voting website via email. Members that do not opt out before August 30 will automatically receive a voting packet in the mail.

More information on online voting and the election can be found at www.tri-countyemc.com.
