Your Meter

To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of Tri-County EMC's metering, we use automated, remotely read (AMR) meters for virtually all of our residential customers and most of our commercial accounts.

By reading your meter through a radio signal, no Tri-County EMC employee has to enter your premises. Since a computer actually "reads" the meters from up to nearly a mile away, the possibility of human error is removed from recording your monthly usage, meaning the greatest possible accuracy for your billing.

The odometer type reading on the face of your meter exactly reflects the usage indicated on your electric bill at the time it is read, making it very easy for you to track your energy usage.
