Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation was formed in 1939 to provide access to electricity at an affordable price. As a cooperative business, we are owned by those we serve. We exist not for profit, but to serve the needs of our member customers.
Tri-County EMC's directors and employees place tremendous importance on corporate citizenship. Since our first power lines crossed rural middle Georgia, Tri-County has influenced economic development. Tri-County employees are active volunteers in the communities we serve. Our leadership and scholarship programs help to develop community leaders of tomorrow. Operation Roundup empowers our customers to make a difference through local charitable contributions. And a commitment to our environment led us to offer Georgia's first renewable electricity program through Green Power EMC.
