Prepare Now for the Annual MeetingTri-County EMC will hold its 68th Annual Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 18, at its headquarters office in Gray. Registration opens at 6 p.m., and the business meeting begins at 7 p.m. Look for your annual meeting packet to arrive during the first week of October. It will feature the 2007 director candidates, a proposed bylaw change, ballots and instructions for voting by mail. When you complete and return your ballots, you will automatically be entered in the drawing for one of ten $50 prizes or the $500 grand prize. The post 3, director candidates are noted below. <<

.jpg) Rev. Charles Richardson District 1 Bibb, Jones & Twiggs counties

Rev. Charlie Richardson of Jones County has been a Tri-County EMC Director since 1995. He is a board member for Georgia Electric Membership Corporation and secretary of the Jones County Ministerial Council. He graduated from Progressive Seminary and Wolf Creek Baptist Bible School. Rev. Richardson was a former self-employed poultry farmer and is the pastor at Cooper Hill Baptist Church in Milledgeville.

 Mike S. Rainey III District 2 Jasper, Morgan & Putnam counties
|
As a life-long resident of Putnam County, Mike Rainey has served as a Tri-County EMC Director for 12 years. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1972. Mr. Rainey was a dairy farmer for 30 years. Since exiting the dairy business he has been raising replacement heifers for other dairy farmers. He is past president of the Putnam County Dairy Association and the Georgia Holstein Association. Mr. Rainey is an active member of the Eatonton’s First United Methodist Church.

.jpg) Marion Nelson District 3 Baldwin & Wilkinson counties

Baldwin County’s Marion Nelson has served as a Director of Tri-County for seven years. He is a volunteer with the county’s fire and rescue squad and is a member of the First Baptist Church in Milledgeville. Mr. Nelson holds a B.S. in Biology from Georgia College and State University. He is a Baldwin County Environmental Enforcement Officer and a retired Ranger with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.
