As a junior at College of the Ozarks in Missouri, Caleb Dunnam of Baldwin County is pursuing a degree in mass communications and a criminal justice minor. He plans to practice American family law or work with the Home School Legal Defense Association. Caleb is a captain of the college’s fire department and a member of A Brotherhood Forged in Fire—a student organization that protects the campus from fire, injury, illness and disaster. Baldwin County’s Rebecca “Joy” Dunnam is a sophomore at Georgia Military College working toward her goal of becoming a pediatric nurse in China. Currently, Joy is in China teaching bible school to orphans.
Lindsey Mangham of Jones County is a sophomore at Berry College studying animal science and communications. She hopes to become an animal nutritionist or a zookeeper. This summer, Lindsey is getting a sample of what working in a zoo is like through her work at Dauset Trails where she conducts day camps and takes care of many different species of animals. Her favorite? The cougar and bobcat.
Brandi Simmons plans to become a fourth grade teacher. Her early childhood education studies at Gordon College have given her the opportunity to tutor children at Baldwin County’s Eagle Ridge Elementary and Lamar County Elementary. Brandi has also assisted middle and high school students in their studies. Over the summer she is teaching Vacation Bible School at County Line Baptist Church. She is a member of the Student Professional Association of Georgia Educators organized for college students to keep apprised of teaching-related issues. This fall, Jacqueline “Mariah” Wood will be a sophomore at Georgia College & State University. She plans to be a nurse practitioner or a physician’s assistant. Mariah enjoys the medical field where the environment is fast-paced and always changing. She is an emergency medical technician. <<
