American Legion Auxiliary Unit #523: $570 for three girls to participate in “Girls State.” Chosen girls will learn about the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of American citizenship. Boys and Girls Club of Baldwin and Jones Unit: $1,000 to fund recreational equipment and arts and crafts supplies for children.
Cub Scout Pack 363: $500 to help a newly formed pack purchase handbooks as well as a pack flag and American flag with bases.
Habitat for Humanity of Putnam County: $3,500 to cover foundation blocks, floor joists and subflooring for a Habitat home.
Jones County High School Track: $1,000 to rubberize the track used by the school and community.
Lynn Haven Nursing Home: $400 for emergency shelter for a mother and her children.
New Damascus Baptist Church: $5,000 to upgrade a mobile home needing flooring, roof repair, paint and furniture, for a family who had a house fire.
Operation Early Intervention: $2,650 for ninth graders to attend summer Life Series program.
Putnam County 4-H Club: $2,500 for reward trips for District Project Achievement participants.
Putnam County FFA Dairy Judging Team: $2,000 for travel costs for four students to compete in an international contest in Scotland.
Scouting Committee of Jones County: $2,000 to purchase tables and chairs for the scouting center to accommodate a rapidly growing group of children. <<
