Foundation Awards Funds 

>> The Tri-County EMC Foundation awarded $17,725 to ten area organizations on September 14. 

Central Baptist Church: $750 to help furnish a recently single mother and her children with necessities; $500 to pay medical bills for unemployed father and $650 to assist with the cost for a prosthetic foot of a diabetic patient.

City of Gray Fire Department: $750 to purchase supplies for children's activities to raise their awareness during Fire Prevention Week.

Covenant Presbyterian Church, PCA: $2,400 to assist with expenses for an elderly disabled woman.

Dames Ferry Elementary School: $2,400 to cover the cost of health insurance for one year for a critically ill mother.

Gamma Sigma Sigma: $2,300 to hold a Potato Drop providing 45,000 pounds of potatoes for local social service agencies to feed individuals fresh, nutritious produce.

Girl Scouts of Middle Georgia, Inc.: $1,500 for roof repairs to a shelter and two cabins at Camp Manipines.

Milledgeville Junior Woman's Club: $775 to provide area children with identification in case of an emergency.

Oconee Area Pregnancy Center: $1,200 for car seats and cribs to be used by clients.

Pilot Club of Jones County: $2,000 toward a tracking system for individuals with brain disorders that may cause them to wander.

Putnam Christian Outreach, Inc.: $2,500 to replace the centers failed computer system. <<
