Allie to Tour D.C.!

>> Tri-County EMC has selected Alexandria "Allie" Chambers to go on this year's Washington Youth Tour June 10 - 17. She will join over 1,000 other teens from across the nation to tour famous sites while gaining leadership skills.

Students will also meet and discuss their views with their peers while learning about history, government and careers in public service.   

Before leaving for Washington, delegates will spend a day in Atlanta touring the Capitol, CNN Studios and Georgia EMC. In  Washington they will visit many sites including national memorials, the Smithsonian Institution and the U.S. Supreme Court. They will also take a cruise down the Potomac River and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Cemetery. (33781-01)

Allie was named Student of the Year by the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce. She enjoys Colorguard, 4-H, FFA and was in the Governor's Honor's program. <<
