Energy Tip of the Month

Spring cleaning time is here. You could reduce the energy consumption for your refrigerator or freezer by as much as 25 percent by routinely vacuuming dust or pet hair from around the condenser coils. Dust blocks airflow, making motors run hotter and increasing run times required
to keep your food refrigerated or frozen. For more information on energy efficiency, visit Tri-County EMC's website at www.tri-countyemc.com.

EMC Employees Teach Safety

Tri-County EMC employees took part in Mattie Wells Elementary School's Annual Spring Fling in March. Using the cooperative's high voltage demonstration, Tri-County representatives encouraged students and guests to respect electricity and avoid electrical hazards. To schedule a high-voltage demonstration for your organization, call (478) 986-8126 or 1-866-254-8100, ext. 8126.
